A graduate is able to:

  1. Assess the toxicity of drugs and cosmetics depending on their type, dose and method of application
  2. Design cosmetic formulations and prepare cosmetic preparations and determine their intended use and sensory properties.
  3. Differentiate between the active substances in: nutricosmetics and cosmetic products, their origin and their effect on tissues; discuss INCI composition.
  4. Perform diagnostics on smooth and hairy skin using various diagnostic devices.
  5. Recognise immediate life-threatening conditions for the patient in the cosmetology practice.
  6. Prepare patients' skin condition for cosmetology and aesthetic medicine procedures.
  7. Differentiate between skin lesions, its defects and cooperate with specialists in various medical fields.
  8. Use stress management strategies in cosmetology practice.
  9. Use high-tech cosmetic and laboratory equipment, and determine its safety and effectiveness in use.
  10. Perform manual lymphatic drainage in anti-oedema therapies.
  11. Implement selected soft tissue therapy techniques for cosmetological and trichological procedures.
  12. Design an algorithm of personalised care and correction of the client's skin defects in the office and at home.
  13. Keep records (treatment record, photographic documentation, protocols) and comply with the provisions of the GDPR.
  14. Speak a foreign language at the level of B2+ (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages requirement).
  15. Work as part of a team; adopt common objectives for action; take on the role of a team leader, in particular for the chosen specialisation module.
  16. Undertake activities to promote health in the community.
  17. Interact in the planning and execution of research tasks in the field of cosmetology, perform basic statistical analyses on their own.
  18. Use IT tools for data acquisition, analysis and selection.
  19. Analyse errors and draw correct conclusions.
  20. Make use of scientific databases on issues in the fields of science relevant to cosmetology.
  21. Make use of scientific literature in Polish and foreign language.
