Education effects in the category of skills

A Cosmetology graduate:

  • Has mastered technical, manual and motor skills associated with the procedures performed in the profession of a cosmetologist.
  • Is able to select and use basic hand-held instruments and equipment used in cosmetology practice, describes operation and basic structure of selected devices in a cosmetologist’s office.
  • Is able to carry out an interview and skin diagnostics.
  • Is able to select and apply cosmetic preparations containing active substances in accordance to the properties of the face and body skin and appendages, taking into account age, gender and health status of the skin.
  • Is able to give basic dietary advice, identify dietary mistakes affecting the condition of the skin and its appendages.
  • Is able to describe properties of ready-made cosmetics and dermatological drugs on the basis of their composition stated by the manufacturer, and based on that is able to select a cosmetic product according to the client's needs.
  • Has mastered basic techniques of relaxation and classical massage.
  • Is able to carry out colour analysis and give basic advice, carry out a structural analysis of the face and then apply suitable day, wedding and evening make-up as well as a make-up camouflaging beauty defects, taking into account the rules of skin condition diagnosis.
  • Is able to perform manicures and pedicures, eyebrow and eyelash tinting and body hair removal.
  • Is able to identify principles of legal regulation in terms of the safety of cosmetic products and knows the legal rules for dealing with adverse effects of cosmetic preparations.
