References

According to the rules of awarding degrees in force at the College of Education and Therapy, the standards for preparing a list of references in a thesis are as follows:

  • The references should be numbered and in alphabetical order. They should include the surname and first letter of the author's first name, the title of the publication, the name of the publishing house, the place and year of publication. Each part of the bibliographic description should be separated by a comma, the final mark is a full stop.

E.g.:

Milanowska K., Kinezyterapia, 6th edition, Wydawnictwo Lekarskie PZWL, Warsaw 2006.

  • In the case of a publication with more than one author, if the number of authors exceeds three, the first author should be given with the addition of the abbreviation: i in. (meaning et al.)

E.g.:

Katsilambros N. [i in.], Atlas stopy cukrzycowej, Elsevier Urban & Partner, Wrocław 2012.

  • In the case of a collective work, the first element of the bibliographic description is the title. This is followed by information about the editor of the edition and further information.

E.g.:

Kompendium wiedzy o ekologii, pod red. J. Strzałko i T. Mossor-Pietraszewskiej, PWN, Warszawa 2001.

  • In the case of a chapter in a collective work, the author of the chapter, the title of the chapter, followed by the letter 'w' with a colon (w:) (meaning in), followed by information on the title, the editor of the edition and further information.

E.g.:

Wilk B., Zachowania ryzykowne, w: Styl życia w promocji zdrowia, Wydawnictwo AWF, Gdańsk 2010.

  • In the case of a journal article, the author, the title of the article, the name, year and issue of the journal and the pages must be included.

E.g.:

Rekun-Gregorczyk A., Zastosowanie felinoterapii w leczeniu osób starszych, "Gerontologia Współczesna" 2014, nr 2, s. 91-93.

 

  • Where reference is made to an electronic publications on a CD, the information from the description attached to the CD or directly from the description contained on the disc must be included.
  • When referring to a publication on the Internet, the author, the title and the address and date when the content was accessed must be stated.
  • The list of websites should be listed separately at the end of the references.
