Education effects in the category of skills

A Dental Technology graduate:

  • Has technical, manual and motor skills in the field of drawing, modelling and making all types of dentures and orthodontic appliances.
  • Is able to select and use devices and instruments according to the task to be carried out in individual laboratories of the prosthetics lab as well as to use modern technologies and equipment.
  • Is able to determine patient's needs for the planned prosthetic restorations.
  • Is able to identify and analyse causes of damage to dentures and orthodontic appliances and consult them with the patient.
  • Is able to assess the quality of workmanship, identify and analyse errors in the construction of dental prostheses and orthodontic appliances.
  • Is able to analyse prosthetic substrate structures for the feasibility of dental prostheses.
  • Is able to prepare dentures, orthodontic appliances, therapeutic splints, post-operative prostheses and epitheses according to clinical design, based on obtained impressions.
  • Is able to prepare restorations and repairs to all types of dentures and orthodontic appliances.
  • Possesses linguistic skills in the fields and disciplines of science appropriate to the studied field of Dental Technology, in accordance with the requirements specified for level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
